SANDRA "BIGS UP" BIG GRANT

Southampton MP Sandra Gidley today praised the BIG Lottery Fund for awarding a recent £5,000 grant to Southampton Hockey Club.

The grant will be used by the club to purchase a portakabin for the on-site storage of equipment, and to act as a changing area.

Sandra said:

"This award is great news for Southampton Hockey Club, and for the local area.

"Sport and physical exercise is vitally important for people to stay fit and healthy, and is also a lot of fun.

"This grant will go along way to supplying the facilities the club needs to go on providing stiff competition for visiting teams, and continued enjoyment for many people in the local area."
